I have been mixing my own glazes for about 3 years and am anxious to learn as much as possible about cone 6 oxidation glazes. I prefer smooth, silky, glossy glazes.

I wear nitrile gloves like medical gloves but a little heavier both for throwing and glazing because of excessive drying and cracking of the skin on my hands.

It didn't take long to get used to them and they do give fairly good sensitivity. I buy them in boxes of 50 from Harbor Freight. http://www.harborfreight.com/catalogsearch/result?q=nitrile+gloves
