professional
What is your current involvement with electric fired ceramics? (long answer encouraged)
I am a 16 year professional studio potter. I've been firing a cone 5 production line in oxidation throughout that time. Though I still maintain that line, the majority of my work has for many years been fired in cone 10 reduction firings in a modified electric/gas/ hybrid kiln.

Hey Nick.. Really nice work and your blog is fantastic . Also, thanks a bunch for the video on your electo/gas kiln.....well done. Did you ITC the elements? I've heard that ITC really extends element life.

Many years ago I read a post from Bonnie Staffel about a reducing electric kiln she owned which was made by the Reduction Production Co. In order to achieve a reducing atmosphere, this kiln had a drawer that would slide in & out that you could fill with combustables. This would have been back in the mid 1970's ...

    Best Wishes...Dale Duncan
