What is your experience with ceramics in general. (Long answer encouraged)
I took a break from RN nursing 42 years ago went back to college to get a degree in art education. I did love teaching but couldn't find a job in secondary edu. In college i fell in love with Ceramics!!! I took every course offered. I also took a course for my masters at a different college since mine did have any masters courses. Then economics took over and i had ti earn an income. Went back to nursing but always felt like a fish out of water. When I retired from nursing (age70)I decided to set up my studio again. I have everything i need to produce better work than i have ever had except the input from other artist. I started selling my work last year. I do mostly functional pieces but take great pleasure in doing some creative pieces too. I mix throwing and hand building to give my wrist a break.
What is your current involvement with electric fired ceramics? (long answer encouraged)
I fire only at cone 6 now. I have a 40year old kiln that was barely used and has new wires. Since i make many of my own glazes I concentrate on electric formulas only
All our content is viewable by the public. Why do you want to be a member, when you can already see everything as a non-member?
I NEED companionship from other artist. I really miss that part of not being in a school setting. I need constructive feedback from others that know what they are talking about
