What is your current involvement with electric fired ceramics? (long answer encouraged)
I am mainly doing terracotta with electric firing when working in a local potters collective instead of my own studio. I regularly have the opportunity to join in with other potters using an electric kiln in a local arts community. I enjoy experimenting with the bright colors and immediacy of terracotta.
I also love wood firing and gas firing stoneware pottery because the kiln adds its own magic to the items. Nothing can be completely determined before and items often come out somewhat different to what one might expect. For me this aspect adds interest to the firing process.
