What is your experience with ceramics in general. (Long answer encouraged)
I love coffee. I drank it a lot in college to keep awake and my mug was my best friend. This moved around to a love for all things ceramic. I bought a pot from a guy at the beach and bought a book from a store there and read it front to back 3-4 times. I took a 6-week course and the teacher told us not to expect to start a studio after that course. I did.
What is your current involvement with electric fired ceramics? (long answer encouraged)
I am a family practice doc with a pottery love since 1995 as a hobby. Here to rub elbows and learn a bit, just a bit....hoping to make your acquaintance.

a few glazes, a few pot pix, a few pages to turn, a few friends to share, a few hours to burn.... not much.
CP, Kudos on this lovely pot! The three-legged pot on mine is formed by throwing or hand building a bottomless pot, then flipping it over, forming a triangle with the base, then pinching the legs together from each of the triangle points. As you get to the middle, you will have a triangular space that won't close, just fill that in with a small slab. In the interior, you can fill in the seams with small rolls of clay. The keys to this technique are having the pot at a soft leather hard stage and having relatively thin walls at the base. Try it out!
It is Chris Clark's Strontium Matte. The recipe is floating around on the web. Turquoise if thick, bronze if thin, fires to cone 6 oxidation. If you can't find it let me know and I'll dig it out for you. :)
