Have a guest room and want to meet other ceramic artists? Put them up for a night or two and feed them breakfast for $15 per night. List your self as a host.
Traveling and wanting to spend a night or two with other ceramic artists? Contact the member(s) in the area you are visiting or passing through.
I'm an aging baby-boomer (i.e. older than 50,) who lives in south Austin, approx. 7 miles from the river/downtown/6th Street/Zilker Park areas, requiring only two right turns to get there so you can't get lost.
My guest room doubles as an office so it is not totally private. It has a twin bed with a trundle which essentially means I have two twin beds, one near the floor. The room even has a separate entrance so visitors can come and go at will. However, I am a strict vegetarian and allow no meat products in my house. No alcohol or drugs on the premises either. And I have a dog, sometimes two.
My pottery studio is huge and I'm seeking potters to share the space so if you want to play in clay while you're here, there's plenty of room.
I will open my home only to members of this Electric Cone 6 group and will abide by the group agreement of $15 per individual per night to cover the cost of breakfast, laundry and snacks. However, I already have an arrangement when SXSW or ACL weekend events are happening; at those times, the guest room rents for $80 a night to non-drinking individuals only.
If you would like more information, you can reach me at 512-810-3424.
