A study group/course I would be very interested in is one about creating a web presence, particularly creating a web site.  Anyone else and would this be a possibility George?

There is vast information online about creating websites. Most web hosting companies offer templates for sites that you customize for your own "look and feel".

I personally, have other projects in mind, so I don't have time to participate, but if you can get others interested, it definitely helps to have live feedback and other viewpoints when you are trying to learn something like this, so the idea of taking it on as a study group /class is a good one.

I would be interested in this also...

I've been looking on-line to see what resources there are to learn professional web design as I want to be able to create a great web site for myself and I have some friends, potters too who want me to create a web site for them as well. about.com has free courses and will send lessons to you on a daily or weekly basis.  Right now I'm working through one on pro web design as well as a course on html.

As I live in a large city there are programs/courses I can take covering graphic design and web site building but costs range upward from $3,000 so I want to see what I can learn for no cost first.  Have you found other resources?  About.com has a list of open source or pay software as well that you can download such as wysiwyg, html, css editors.  Right now I'm working on a free website with wix that I can upgrade later on and purchase a domain through.

Please tell me more Brian?

Tips for Members

If you just want to spout off, it is best accomplished as a blog posting. If you want to get more guidance and ideas from other members, ask a question as a new discussion topic. In the upper right corner of the lists for both types of posting, you will find an "+Add " button. Clicking it will open an editor where you create your posting. 4/16/2014
