Floating Blue - As you might guess our Insight-Live Glaze database has quite a number of ways to create it. More recipes than fit onto one page, depending on which ingredients you have on hand.

Robert I have been making pottery for 30 years and Floating Blue has been around way before me.  I would say it is a glaze that many have used through the years.  Many claim it to be fickle type that can turn out very variable.  With iron it is a much darker glaze.  I like the lighter blue color without iron.  Usually takes three coats if you brush it on.  I usually brush it on two coats then sponge on the third coat to get good coverage so it won't have thin clear areas on the pot.  You can google it and get the formula I am sure.
