In January of 2018 I will be teaching an online glaze making course. I will be teaching course participants how to make and fire Ian Currie grid glazes. A grid glaze is a way to generate 35 glaze variations from a single glaze recipe. If you are interested in learning what this course is going to be about you can join my Ian Currie Grid Glaze group at this link.

John.

I started doing currie grids because of some of the tiles I saw on your website. I have been doing them for a year or so now and I find them most excellent. I would like to join any group discussion on grids or glazes, but seeing that it is facebook I will not be able to. Is there not another place you could host the discussion for those of us who don't use facebook?

If not no worries, just thought I would ask.

Joseph

I moved your picture inline of the article for graphic impact. If this is an issue I will set it back on your objection.

Hi Joseph,

The reason I am running this course on Facebook is because of its universality. Billions of people use it and know how to upload photos and share content on it. So instead of course participants having to figure out how to use a new interface, they can simply work within a framework that they already know.

Tips for Members

If you just want to spout off, it is best accomplished as a blog posting. If you want to get more guidance and ideas from other members, ask a question as a new discussion topic. In the upper right corner of the lists for both types of posting, you will find an "+Add " button. Clicking it will open an editor where you create your posting. 4/16/2014
