It may be better to develop a black from the recipe book # 451 Cooper, adding variations of Mn oxide and cobalt, I'll try it: DD

The glaze has an addition of 8% Manganese Dioxide and 8 Red Iron Oxide, and reduction-fired at Cone 7.

The recipe is not my own but was given to me by a potter in Xalapa, Veracruz.

I haven't leach-tested it but it looks durable. There's a test done with lime juice I heard or read somewhere.

The black is superimposed on white glaze, which is # 360 book Cooper.

Norm I've been reading Digitalfire, which is very good.

I'm going to get other tests adding a thin layer of glaze overlay of dolomite or talc to cover it perfectly without toxicity problems.

I want to make a glaze Line-Test adding cobalt as they do on the following link.

A sophisticated look, especially the black interior of the center piece and the iron shading on the left piece.

.
