Hello Robert,

I am new to Standard Glazes and just found out about them when watching You Tube videos with Janice the Potter. She uses Iron Red and Cream and has good visual results... check her out for yourself and I think you will enjoy her extensive glaze testing.  You might ask her for help and I think she would be happy to comply.  Good luck.

Thank you for the help, I will give this a try. I checked the cream and yes, it has settled to a hard sediment. I will mixed very well before use.   Thanks again.

Hi Robert, I use both these glazes, quite frequently.  The cream definitely settles to the bottom.  Needs to be mixed very well, deflocculating is definitely something to look into.   I do find that if I'm not careful the Iron Red will flake off when applied on top of other glazes.  I don't touch it once it's on.   Are you making sure that the first glaze has completely dried, maybe even wait until the next day before applying the iron red.  That may help.  Try applying the iron red around the rim first, then applying the creme, this is what I often do.  Not sure if you have tried this combo before, but beware of the glaze running.  Cream will definitely run, I usually just use it on rims.  Hope this helps.

Thank you, I will try this... The mix seems about the same constancy as many other glazes I have but they sure do not go on so chalky.... I was wondering if there was something that could be added to a glaze to make it less Chalky and not dry so fast, maybe make it flow better?
