- What is your experience with ceramics in general. (Long answer encouraged)
- I began working in ceramics 15 years ago when I took a class at a local studio. I was immediately hooked. I loved the process and the people. I became an apprentice making glazes, reclaiming clay, and doing other tasks to get unlimited studio time. Later I started teaching children and adults in the studio and also started selling some of my work in the shop. I was a full time teacher and when things got crazy at work I quit making pottery for a while. I now do it in my home, and will soon be able to do it as much as I want because I will not be teaching next year.
- What is your current involvement with electric fired ceramics? (long answer encouraged)
- I have a small studio in my basement at home. I have an electric kiln. I mix my own glazes and do the whole process right there. I am getting ready to ramp up my business and start producing. I want to grow it, but still see my self using electric kilns.
- All our content is viewable by the public. Why do you want to be a member, when you can already see everything as a non-member?
- I want to be a member so I can ask questions, and hopefully share information with others. Inquiry is a process I believe is the best way to learn and it is asking questions, research, and sharing information. An online forum is a good way to do it. I will probably mostly read what others have written at first, but hope to contribute in the future.

Harbor Freight is a great place to find unbeatable prices for better HVLP spray guns with stainless steel parts and serviceable economy models, as well as detail guns, all tested by our members for spraying glazes, as well as compressors to power the guns. As yet no one has tested and commented on the remarkably inexpensive air brushes at harbor freight.
The critter siphon gun is a spray alternative that is well liked by some of our members, and is available at amazon.
Amazon is also a competitive source for photo light tents for shooting professional quality pictures of your work. They also have the EZ Cube brand favored by several of our members. You might also want to purchase the book Photographing Arts, Crafts and Collectibles . . .
If you are up to creating videos of your work or techniques you might want to invest in a flip video camera

ebay is a great alternative for many tools and the equipment used in the ceramics studio - kilns, wheels, extruders, slab rollers are often listed there both new and used.
