Rodney, it was about this time when I started spraying my glazes. I rarely dip, but sometimes will pour exteriors. I always pour the interior of more closed forms, but will spray if the form is open enough to allow it.

Looks like I'm about 4 years late. Did you spray or dip your glazes?  I like them all, especially the ones with Earthenware Red and the B-mix that you mixed the yellow into the matte base.  Have you moved on or are you still working this way?

@George-I agree about stepping into the unknown, boy howdy! There were only a couple of the glazes that I knew what was in them, as I had mixed them myself, the rest were put 'em on a hope for the best. One of the ones I mixed appeared to be marginal, by not having much clay in it, bit it worked fine (it's the little teapot.) I noted that your method is to glaze bone dry, which is what I do. Your musing that this may eliminate some of the shrinkage issues versus glazing at leather hard gave me some comfort. It sure was hard to wait on opening up that kiln!

So you used a variety of glazes, none of which were specifically formulated for single firing, or even annotated that they would work as single fire glazes? Congratulations on stepping into the unknown, and gaining valuable information.
