SH video is great, recipes firing schedule, Stephen Hill explaining it all...

  • just received the Stephen Hill Video, wonderful presentation of his method and work. If you purchase the video he sends an updated PDF of about 11 of the glazes, and the DVD includes a detailed firing schedule. Well worth the money...

Thanks for the recommendation Tom. I think I might invest in it myself. I am wondering where you purchased your copy please? I live in Australia so I will look into the best way for me to obtain one.

The video is available from the Ceramics Arts Daily website's bookstore. http://ceramicartsdaily.org/bookstore/browse-dvds/  I am assuming they will ship worldwide....

If you are not subscribed to Ceramics Arts Daily I would recommend doing so. The site is presented by the publishers of Ceramics Monthly and Pottery Making Illustrated (don't know if these magazines are published down under?)...

The website subscription is free, and they send you daily posts (which seems annoying at first, but soon becomes an email that you actually are interested in reading).

They also feature articles from recent issues of both of their print magazines, again the website subscription is free.

A great resource with an extensive archive of articles, video demos, etc...

Here is another video that I am considering, http://ceramicartsdaily.org/bookstore/pieces-and-patterns-complex-f...

Much appreciated Tom. I am already a member of ceramic arts daily and agree it is a fabulous website. I had noticed yesterday that the dvd is for sale via them, so will look into it further. I have heard of the ceramics mag's you refer to. They are not available readily here but I can order them, so might look into that too. I have been getting 'Ceramics Art and Perception' for the last year. Although I like it, I prefer more technical articles which it does not give me.
